Crispy Glutinous Rice Balls are a delightful Asian snack known for their crunchy exterior and chewy, slightly sticky interior. Made from glutinous rice flour, these deep-fried treats are often filled with sweet or savoury ingredients, such as red bean paste, black sesame, or minced meat. Their golden-brown, crispy shell contrasts with the soft, stretchy texture inside, offering a satisfying bite.
Ingredients:
Glutinous Rice Balls
water 10ml
Oil 10ml
Cooking Instruction:
Put a thin layer of oil on the pan without turning on the heat.
Add frozen rice balls, shake the pan to coat them evenly with oil.
Add water. Oil-to-water ratio = 1:1.
Turn on medium-low heat, simmering for about 5 minutes.
Dry off excess water, and then stir occasionally and fry until golden brown and crispy.
Remove and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil before serving. Enjoy as a snack or dessert with tea!
